Traveling with Ham Radio Stuff…Lesson Learnt

Went to Melbourne this week for work.  I only take carry on luggage to save time.  Anyhow…while in Melbourne I visited Strictly Ham and picked up 2 x 50ft rolls of 450Ω ladder line for some antenna projects I am thinking about.  Of course I packed this in my luggage for my return trip without a second thought.  Upon seeing my bag disappear into the x-ray machine at Melbourne Airport security a cold shiver ran up my spine and a dark presence seemed to appear.  Turns out ladder line coiled up in a suitcase, when viewed on a security x-ray machine looks like some kind of explosive device….you can guess the rest.  Made the flight though…
