Remembrance Day Contest 2015

On 15 and 16 August members of the North East Radio Club participated in the Remembrance Day Contest as VK5GRC in the Multi Multi category.  Allen, VK5LAM, Nigel VK5NIG and myself operated for almost 24hrs, with a visit from David, VK5MFD during Saturday evening.  The QTH was the suburb of Kudla, which is between Smithfield and Gawler in SA.  The 6 acre property belongs to a friend of one of the club members and he is always willing to let us operated from his part time residence.

Activity was not up to its usual pace this year but despite that we had a good time.  The weather was kind and we had a bonn fire to keep us warm during the early morning hours.  We managed a modest 527 points and placed 7 out of 9 entrants for the category.  We were never a top gun station but he have a go each year and have fun doing it.
